An epic display of light over the rugged canyons of Canyonlands National Park. What you're seeing here is sheets of rain being struck by the few light rays able to get through the thick storm clouds, you can see the depth of the rain around the rock formations to the left of the image. Over eons of time, the mighty Colorado river system has carved this amazing landscape.
