Stormy weather creates a dramatic scene along the shoreline of the Great Salt Lake, Utah. On top of the rocks on the point to the left of the frame sits a few of the many California Gulls nesting in the area.
I think the shot is great. I wonder how it might have been if the viewpoint were lower, i.e., take closer to the ground so that the rocks in the foreground were more dominant. I live in Salt Lake and have never been to AI but your shot makes me want to go there and try it out.
I think if I dropped the angle, the line leading to the point wouldn't have been as strong, hard to say now tho. Good food for thought! I love AI, its a pretty long drive for me, but worth it everytime.
