Turret Arch- Arches NP by tourofnature Turret Arch- Arches NP by tourofnature
A lovely sunrise at Turret Arch in Arches National Park.

The snow in the foreground gives the photo a little extra dynamic. Also, I was glad to see the clouds hanging in the sky behind the arch, clouds can often turn a boring shot into something more, and these clouds certainly helped my composition.

I completely agree, a bad day out in nature is better than a good day at work in the city!

Holy Ape Shit Batman!

That's a great shot man. Although... and this is just me... I think it could use a warming filter.

However, the composition is top notch. w00t!

Thanks man, I've never tried the warming filter, I'll have to see what I can come up with in Photoshop, thanks for the tip!

Many thanks, the clouds in the back help layer the depth of field a little bit. It was a great sunrise, except for the cold:D

I'm not sure, but I think it was pretty close to zero if not below. It seems like I always head down to the warmer areas when they're in the middle of cold snaps.

Oh well, it made for some solitude. :D

Yeah, it's a great place if you like the outdoors, I need to get over to Europe and see some of the history and architecture over there. I'd love to see some of those gothic cathedrals I've studied in my art history classes.

Excellent composition overall. The rock formation stands out very prominently here, which is a major plus.

Thanks, I watched the entire sunrise and this was some of the most interesting light. It had just barely lit up the rock on the left of the arch and the foreground was still in shadow.
