The High Uintas by tourofnature The High Uintas by tourofnature
I just returned from an overnight backpacking trip to an area of the Uinta Mountain range I'd never visited before. The glacial carved canyons are littered with natural alpine lakes, lakes that can be a great place to watch a day end.

Teapot Lake, Utah.

I don't know why I didn't comment on this earlier, but this is a very soothing scene. Very natural setting. I'd love to explore these mountains sometime in my future. Looks like you got a nice new toy as well and works nicely.

The new cam is such a huge upgrade from my 5D. I'm going to explore night photography much more now, I'm loving the new cam.

Thats really the one thing I am interested in with the 5dIII is the high ISO capabilities. If I can shoot ISO 12800 and make it look like ISO 400 then it is totally worth it. You will have to fill me on on this when you get the chance.

We went to Amethyst Lake, I switched the new camera to RAW and am having some issues w the upload from the images from that area. Its a great backpack trip, from what I saw on my camera screen I got some pics I'm excited about. Dabbled a bit in night photography w the tents lit up w headlamps.
