A sunset over the prairies of Utah. Its amazing to think that not more than 300 years ago much of this area was completely unknown to the western world. The history of the exploration and settlement of the Western United States is a fascinating one. Settlers from not more than 5-6 generations prior experienced incredible adventure and peril in their journey to find a better life in the West.
Antelope Island State Park, Utah. Canon 5D. 24-105mm. Blended exposures.
This shot was taken last winter, the grasses catching the light are what drew me to this composition, the pile of rocks provided a larger element to place in the foreground.
I'm still not sure about this shot, feedback appreciated.
