This photo reminds me that it pays to get yourself out shooting because you never know what the sky might do. I waded out into the water there for some different compositions and was standing on a crusty layer of white salt. I'm not sure how far off shore the salt deposits go, but it makes for a unique shoreline to be certain.

The first thing that jumps out here is the cloud formation on the right, and its reflection. They look like the wings of some mythical creature
The shoreline bend is appealing, although perhaps I would prefer a vantage point closer to the water. However, I can see how you'd want to be higher.
One big way in which I feel the composition could be improved is to have the horizon line more in accordance with the rule of thirds.
The sky on the right seems to be over saturated in one area, and its hue is ever so slightly too far towards purple, possibly due to the polarizer. The opposite clouds on the right, on the other hand, look a bit too bright and under saturated.
Ha, this is ironic! I watch a photographer who critiqued you, so I had to come see what ge was talking about. Little did I know I'd end up my right on my own door step! XD I didn't recognize the scene at first because I haven't been to the great salt lake in years, but now that I know where it is I've got memories swimming! But I'm glad to see someone who wants to share Utah. We may not have much else, but our state is beautiful. I'm gonna go look at your other stuff, see what else you've got...

Overall, good job
