Study of light and color by tourofnature Study of light and color by tourofnature
This image shows the best Bryce Canyon has to offer.

I was truly awestruck as the sunrise continued to manipulate the beauty of the landscape in front of me. This National Park is one of a kind. Minute to minute the light interacts with the hoodoos and formations in different ways as the sun rises and sets everyday.

Full view please.

Haha and then I find this masterpiece on the next page of your gallery.... :faint:

Oh my gosh, I just don't even have any words. :wow: Bryce Canyon is so unfair! I know it's like you can never fit the whole bewildering canyon into one frame.... but looking at this feels like you came pretty dang close! Aoh gads it's so gorgeous.... the light and the color.... I think this is the most beautiful picture of Bryce Canyon I've ever seen. :)

haha, your comments are awesome. Bryce is amazing, this is one of my favorites although it was taken when I was first learning photography so I'd changes a few things. Despite my noviceness, the landscape translated into a great image. Thank you very much! :D

this is beautiful! This view of the canyon is my absolute favorite and your lighting conditions here are PERFECT! I love it. I plan to visit Bryce with more time (I've only been able to photograph during the afternoon :P) so I can truly appreciate the changing shadows and colors...

I was just there. I want to go again in the winter so I can see the snow covered rocks. I have only submitted 4 of my 1500 photos that I took so far. A Bryce photo is next for me. Lovely shot.

It does add to the scene, but it was freezing that morning. I had no idea the area was that cold, well below freezing. I saw your Bryce shots, awesome.

I remember Bryce Canyon! I went there when I was around twelve... we went on a hike down a trail and there was a pine tree growing right out of the bottom of one of the grottoes that was around eighty feet tall. There's a picture of it in my mind I'll never forget. I think it was that trip around the West that made me fall in love with deserts and canyon lands.

I really like the way you caught the light and the shadows-- it really gives a sense of depth that isn't as apparent in the afternoon. I also like how the colors and rock layers are so vivid. Excellent shot! :) Makes me want to go back even more.

I haven't hiked down to that tree, but I've seen pictures and footage of that area, I plan to go back to Bryce when the weather is better, it was well below zero when I was there shooting on that trip. :D

'Wow!' What an amazing photograph, so glad too see a different perpective Bryce Canyon. I have also a photo of the same canyon in my Gallery. It is real spooky the sense there are faces carved in the stone, I counted seven. Bryce Canyon I believe has pure magic of it own, it is a real spiritual place, you can sense the Indians presence and their admoration for the canyon. I could even picture the Indians worshiping the rocks. Thankyou, for such an amzing photo.:):)
