The unique environment of the Desert Lake Powell. Water began to fill up what was formerly known as Glen Canyon when the Dam was finished in 1966. Now a controversial man-made project, the lake's beauty is undeniable.

Nice shot! Is this from up near the bridge? My bucket list includes a week on a pontoon boat expploring all the side canyons. Even with the bath tub ring it would be amazing.
Looks good, Wayson. I'm digging the ripples in the water. You gotta let me know how the trip went. Did you get to Coyote Gulch? I'll be in the northwest for the next two weekends so you'll have to get out and catch some fall color so I can see what I missed. I hit up the Alpine Loop this weekend - if you get a chance, it's looking really good right now.
Thanks, the trip was amazing, it was a 6 1/2 drive from Coyote Gulch to Bullfrog Marina where I was meeting my family so I decided to go to Capital Reef instead. There was a great sunrise at the Temple of the Sun and Moon, I should be posting a couple from there. Lake Powell was fun. I'm trying to make it to Mt Timp this weekend, probably Sunday. You visiting family out East?
