Plains of Blue and Gold by tourofnature Plains of Blue and Gold by tourofnature
Cathedral Valley in Capital Reef National Park is one of the more unique environments in Utah. I took this image standing beneath the giant Monolith "Temple of the Moon" (The structure to the right of the image) In the distance is the even bigger monolith "Temple of the Sun"

Taken the sunset prior to this sunrise:

Wow! Georgeous shot. Are the rocks really that viberant shade of orange or is because of the setting sun? Awesome photo. Thanks for sharing.

Another beauty. It's amazing how smooth sandstone looks, but the touch of it for me is like nails on a chalkboard.

I was there years ago in the 80's shooting medium format Pentax 6x7 chromes , when I got a pro film scanner by 2004 i tried scanning some and my negs and chromes were well protected in anti static and archival glassines etc ...but the actual film dyes had begun to break down and shift green ...I even got to shoot some Kodachrome PKR120 there and woww sharp sharp sharp but became diffuse with age

Beautiful capture! Love how you have three different aspects in the photo(almost like a 3D)
if I can say it that way, not very good with words in descriptions
