This image shows a hungry coyote jumping for lunch.

I watched her for about 5 minutes as she turned her head from side to side listening for the movement of the mouse or vole moving under the snow. I waited in anticipation for what I knew was soon to come, her attempt to capture her quarry.

Unfortunately, she was unsuccessful in her attempt.

taking such photos is not easy, especially with such quick animals like coyotes! I tried photographing them in Yellowstone, but never got a good shot....
so I pay you my greatest respect!
