Canyon Flow by tourofnature Canyon Flow by tourofnature
A cascade in Coyote Gulch near Lake Powell, Utah. This was taken on an early Autumn backpacking trip into the desert. I was after a new perspective on this particular waterfall.

The water is normally much more clear, but the day before we got there the area experienced a torrential down pour, signs of the prior day's flash floods were everywhere as we hiked down this canyon.

Cool shot -- never seen the area post-flood, so the murky, brown water makes this distinctive. Did you happen to pan up at all so you could make a mosaic? It would be interesting to get more of the canyon wall in the background. Colors look a little muted. . . was it overcast?

Yes, I got some shots with more of the canyon included. Nothing from this close to the falls though. It wasn't overcast, just late in the afternoon, the sun had long set this deep in the canyon. Thanks Gabe.

Beautiful shot, I really like the muddy water, it gives it a more powerful feel. Well done! :)
