Once used as a temporary home by the Pueblo people this alcove presents one of the most dramatic views imaginable. While spending time in the ancient space, I found myself wondering whether these people decided to reside here for the strategic safety of this hidden alcove, or the breathtaking view into a valley that helped them sustain life.

Canyonlands National Park, Utah.

This is absolutely stunning. I love the contrast between colors. I noticed the time stamp in the "Camera Data" part, but did you really take this at 8:35? It looks like you shot the photo either very early in the morning or later in the evening. Either way… Very nice job!

Haha...my wife and I were there a few years ago and I have the same photo. We had the whole place to ourselves too. A great hike and adventure. I think I like your photo better than mine. We were there at mid-day...lots of contrast. Seeing this makes me want to go back. :-)

We loved our time there. We toured the state, from Moab down to the Grand Canyon. Yes...an amazing place.
